Be A Giver School Supply Drive

Our annual school supply drive is back! July 1-31, we are collecting donated backpacks and school supplies to support students served by Denver Human Services programs. Our goal is to distribute 800 backpacks. New school supplies and backpacks give Denver students a boost of confidence as they head back to school. It's also one less thing for families to budget for during back to school season.

What's different this year?

This year, our program already has the basic school supplies covered (thank you to all the amazing donors that have provided monetary donations in previous years)!

We are asking for help with extra items—like fun erasers, water bottles, and classroom essentials such as Lysol wipes—to help students feel confident and supported in the classroom. Additional items are always appreciated and make a meaningful difference for our kiddos and their teachers/classrooms.

Please note: Due to building renovations, this year’s drive will have limited donation options, and we are unable to offer our usual matching program. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

You can always make a tax-deductible monetary donation to Denver Human Services. 100% of the monetary donations provided go to our seasonal drive efforts. Make a donation by check or online:

  1. Write the check out to "DHS Manager of Finance."
  2. In the memo line, you can write in a specific campaign (for example, "Holiday Gift Drive") or effort ("DHS GIVE").
  3. Mail it to:
