IDDEAS Program
The Denver Human Services IDDEAS Program manages local taxpayer dollars dedicated to funding services and supports for Denver residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. IDDEAS stands for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Equitable Access to Services.
We strive to make Denver an inclusive community where people with I/DD feel welcome, valued and empowered to live the lives they envision for themselves.
Intellectual and developmental disabilities (or I/DD) is a term often used to describe differences in a person’s brain, and how those differences show up in their life. For many people, these differences, also recognized as disabilities, are part of their daily life, but do not define them.
Language and Disability Access
It is your right to access oral or written language assistance, sign language interpretation, real-time captioning via CART, or disability-related accommodations. To request any of these services at no cost to you, please email DHSADASupport@denvergov.org with three business days’ notice.
Protect Our Community
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) are at increased risk of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
If you suspect a child or at-risk adult is the victim of abuse, neglect or exploitation, call (720) 944-3000.
