Address Change Form

BoCC Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes

Note: Tax years eligible for abatement petitions change annually on January 1. Tax years 2023 and 2024 are currently open.

Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes(PDF, 69KB) To appeal property values and to abate (refund) taxes for the immediate two prior years through the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC). Anytime during 2025, a new petition may be submitted for 2023 and/or 2024.

Parcel Reconfiguration Form

Monday, October 28, 2024 will be the last day to record an owner’s request for reconfiguration form with the Clerk & Recorder’s Office affecting real property parcels in 2024 (taxes payable in 2025).

Qualified Primary Residence Classification Application(PDF, 407KB)

A qualified senior primary residential property tax classification is available for tax years 2025 and 2026. This allows property owners who moved and lost their senior exemption, to have it temporarily reinstated for their new primary residence, if they meet certain requirements. Please review the application and instructions for requirements.

 

Due date: March 15, 2025

The application deadline is March 15. Completed applications must be submitted to the county assessor of the county in which the property is located.

Applications may be submitted during the grace period of March 15 through July 15, 2025 However, the right to appeal is forfeited if the application is denied during this period.

Gold Star Spouse Property Tax Exemption Form(PDF, 309KB)

The exemption is valid only if the primary residence is owned and occupied by the qualifying disabled veteran on January 1, of the year for which the exemption is sought.

 

The application deadline is July 1, in the tax year of application.
