RFP Availability and Disparity Study in Procurement and Contracting

Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) and its Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO) are seeking proposers qualified and experienced in conducting Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Availability and Disparity Studies. The selected proposer shall conduct an M/WBE Availability and Disparity Study for the period 2017-2021 consistent with constitutional mandates, governing law, and best practices.

As required by § 28-83, D.R.M.C., DSBO conducts a disparity study approximately every five years to evaluate the utilization of minority and women-owned contractors in city procurement of the following industry areas: construction, reconstruction, remodeling, professional design, and goods and services. The results of the study are used to evaluate the city’s contracting practices and assess the need for, and continuation of, the DSBO M/WBE program.
