Denver Economic Development & Opportunity is seeking proposals from one or more contractors to administer the BuILD Denver (Business Investments, Loans and Development) Program. This program is funded by the Herman Malone Fund, a special revenue fund derived from 1% of retail cannabis sales tax collected in the City and County of Denver. The BuILD Denver Program is designed to strengthen Denver's economy by supporting local businesses and creating quality job opportunities. It will provide small businesses and entrepreneurs with access to low-interest loans, investment products, and business coaching to help them start, restart, restructure, or expand their operations.
The selected contractor(s) will administer approximately $3 million each year over a three-year period. They will manage a portfolio of loan investments and attract and leverage additional outside funding for this program, maximizing this sustainable investment into Denver’s under-resourced business community.
