CLOSURE NOTICE | All Denver Recreation Centers will be closed on Monday, March 31st in observance of César Chávez day.

Denver Recreation Centers are closed on city-observed holidays. Outdoor pools close during inclement weather when lightning is nearby or temperatures are forecasted to remain below 65 degrees. Emergency closures for unexpected maintenance, power outages, etc. may not be posted online unless they are expected to last for a significant portion of the day or longer. To verify center schedules and hours of operation, please call the facility directly.

Barnum is a Neighborhood Level recreation center located in the southwest area off of Federal Blvd and Highway 6. This facility features weight and cardio equipment, a gymnasium, and a splash area in the park. This center is open to residents Monday-Saturday.

Barnum Recreation Center also offers a free meal program for youth, along with free membership for youth through the MY Denver Card program. View the facility photo gallery.
