Ryan White Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA)

The Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) is designed to provide limited emergency financial support for various essential needs when no other options are available.

211 United Way

Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) helps with paying for winter heating costs.

Energy Outreach Colorado helps pay for past-due energy bills.

311 City Services (Denver residents only)

Temporary Rental & Utility Assistance (TRUA) (Denver residents only)

Broomfield FISH program helps Broomfield residents who at or below the 200% FPL, food, transportation, rent, and utility assistance

Westminster Water Bill Assistance (Westminster residents only)

This program is a dedicated Ryan White-funded resource offering support for rent and hotel/motel assistance. If you're facing housing challenges, connect with a Ryan White case manager to explore how we can assist you.

Homelessness Resources

  • Denver area Shelters- Including daytime, walk-up, and severe weather shelters in the Denver area.
  • SafeLots- Safe overnight parking for cars and RVs for families and those experiencing homelessness with access to bathroom facilities and housing navigation. Currently limited to Broomfield, Adams, north Jefferson, and Denver counties.
  • HOST Housing and Homelessness Guide– A list of information and resources for those who need help with housing and other resources you might need if you are experiencing unstable housing.  

Additional Housing Resources

  • HOPWA
    • The Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS program is a federally funded initiative to address housing needs for people living with HIV. HOPWA helps with housing-related expenses such as rent, mortgage, and utility payments. Connect to a Ryan White Case Manager for more information about the HOPWA programs available.
  • Shallow Rent Program
    • Also known as SRP, which provides partial rent assistance, with the goal of maintaining long-term housing and engagement in HIV medical care.
